Born in a small town in the state of Nebraska, Mark Booker embarked on a collegiate journey that would ultimately shape his future endeavors. In 2004, he earned a Bachelor's Degree in New Media and Communications from a liberal arts college, laying the groundwork for his career in the entertainment industry.
Prior to pursuing a life in the spotlight, Mark Booker had a stint as a semi-professional baseball player, but it was his passion for acting and storytelling that ultimately won out. He made his mark as a filmmaker by writing, directing, and producing his own acting vehicle, the dramedy "Imitation Life," in 2006.
Since then, Mark Booker has solidified his position in the industry by starring in a string of indie successes, including the elevated-genre film "Fields of the Dead," the epic ensemble piece "The Casserole Club," and the award-winning sci-fi thriller "Lucid."
In 2010, Mark Booker joined forces with his long-time friend and fellow filmmaker, acclaimed cinematographer Daniel Stephens, to form the production company General Films. This boutique production company focuses on films that are inspired by and dedicated to the current American Next Wave.
Under the banner of General Films, Mark Booker has excelled as a producer and director. He has written, directed, and produced a number of projects, including the lovable romantic comedy "PerfectMatch," in which he also had a popular supporting role, as well as the charming web series "Tuberville," which he also writes and produces.
Currently, Mark Booker is working on producing the heartwarming comedy "Merrily" and splits his time between Los Angeles and Omaha, Nebraska.
In addition to his work in film, Mark Booker is also a musician. He creates his own music and composes and scores many projects, showcasing his versatility and talent.
