Mark's life began on November 17th, in Providence, Rhode Island, as the eighth of nine children, to an Irish-American father and an Italian-American mother. Growing up, he developed a strong foundation in his education, attending Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut, where he showcased his athletic abilities by lettering in football, and eventually graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 1994.
During his college years, Mark discovered his passion for theater, taking the stage in three theatrical productions. Following his graduation, he embarked on a unique summer experience, working for Shake-A-Leg, a summer camp for paraplegics and quadriplegics, in Newport, Rhode Island. This experience allowed him to perform in his fourth theatrical production.
As the fall of 1994 approached, Mark relocated to New Haven, Connecticut, where he began working as a paralegal for a prominent asbestos litigator and as a waiter for a family-owned Italian restaurant in the Little Italy section. In 1997, he embarked on a 10-year career in corporate medical sales, specializing in pharmaceuticals, biotech, and medical equipment.
Throughout his medical sales career, Mark's job relocated him to Long Island, New York, in 2003, and eventually to Manhattan in 2004. However, in 2006, he began exploring his creative side, working with The 4th Wall Actors Workshop in NYC, performing in numerous black-box theater productions. In 2007, Mark made the bold decision to leave his career in medical sales behind and pursue his dream of becoming an actor.
