Marlo Franson, a talented individual born on March 25th, 1970, at the General Hospital in Regina, Saskatchewan, embarked on his acting journey in his teenage years, taking on the role of Mayor George Shinn in a production of Music Man.
As he pursued his passion, Marlo continued his acting training at the University of Saskatchewan, simultaneously obtaining his Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. He then relocated to Vancouver, British Columbia, with the aspiration of kick-starting his acting career, enrolling in courses at the Vancouver Film School (VFS).
However, his plans were temporarily derailed by the emergence of the internet in the early 2000s. Marlo adapted to this new landscape by taking online business courses and eventually achieving success in 2001. He continued to hone his acting skills, taking courses at the University of British Columbia (UBC) while exploring opportunities in the digital realm.
It wasn't until 2008 that Marlo discovered stand-up comedy and began filming skits, ultimately securing an agent and reviving his acting career. This marked the beginning of a prolific period, during which he landed small roles, gradually transitioning to television and film appearances.
Marlo's breakthrough came with the release of Final Destination 5, in which he played a bartender. Since then, he has made appearances on TV shows such as Lucifer, Bates Motel, and Prison Break, as well as in the Deadpool Trailer. Upcoming projects include cameos in the final episode of Wayward Pines and in the film Warcraft, currently playing in theaters.
When not working on his acting career, Marlo resides in Vancouver, BC, where he has lived since 1994. He balances his time between auditions, part-time jobs, and his personal hobbies, which include playing CounterStrike source, watching Vancouver-made TV shows, going to the movies, biking, and working on his vehicles at home.
As a bartender by trade and a mechanic by hobby, Marlo is driven to achieve his dream of landing a significant role that propels him to the next level.
