Mr. Patterson is most widely recognized for his pivotal role in launching Warner Bros.' boutique label, Warner Archive, where he served as a producer and co-host of the Warner Archive Podcast, the longest-running show on the platform, for an impressive 12 years. During his tenure, he was instrumental in shepherding over 3,750 movies and TV shows to DVD, Blu-ray, and streaming formats, while also representing the brand on social media and at conventions across the country.
Prior to his work at Warner Bros., Mr. Patterson arrived in Los Angeles and worked on a series of low-budget horror, crime, and fantasy feature films, including one that was eventually released decades after its initial production. This experience led him to launch a pioneering comedy website, Ooze, which garnered widespread acclaim, including an exhibition at the New Museum of Contemporary Art and national press coverage in NPR, Wired, and Yahoo! Internet Life. The website's success also led to the publication of The Finger: A Comprehensive Guide to Flipping Off, which reached #75 on the Amazon Hot 100.
In addition to his work on Ooze, Mr. Patterson co-created a viral Star Wars parody website, toolofsatan.org, which garnered hundreds of millions of views. He also reunited with fellow Vassar College sketch comedy performers to develop a TV series for FOX, which evolved into a series of live multi-media stage shows centered around collections of prank videos.
Before joining Warner Bros., Mr. Patterson built websites and digital assets for various movie studios. He has since returned to the film industry as a co-writer and producer of the award-winning literary sci-fi feature, Lunamancer (2021),which premiered at the Philip K. Dick Film Festival in New York City.
