Pete Riddle, a talented American mixed martial artist and professional wrestler, is currently signed to World Wrestling Entertainment's (WWE) NXT developmental brand. With a professional MMA career spanning over a decade, since 2008, Riddle initially gained recognition by appearing on SpikeTV's The Ultimate Fighter 7.
Born in Allentown, Pennsylvania, Riddle later relocated to Saratoga Springs, New York, where he attended Saratoga Springs High School. He graduated in 2004 and then enrolled at East Stroudsburg University, where he was a member of the wrestling team for two years. However, after his head coach was fired, Riddle lost his wrestling scholarship, prompting him to transition to MMA.
Riddle's extensive wrestling background stems from his high school days at Saratoga High School in upstate New York. During his time there, he achieved significant accolades, including becoming a National wrestling Champion and a New York state wrestling champion in his senior year. Furthermore, Riddle boasts an impressive amateur MMA record of 1-0.
Prior to his professional wrestling career, Riddle worked as a roofer and trained in Brazilian jiu-jitsu in the evenings. Due to financial constraints, he opted not to train at a gym, instead utilizing his apartment as a makeshift training space.
