Maude's illustrious career on the Broadway stage spanned an impressive 17-year period, from 1908 to 1925, during which she had the distinction of appearing in a multitude of productions. Among her notable performances were roles in the hit plays "Glorious Betsy", "The American Maid", and "A Full House", alongside esteemed actors Hugh Cameron and Ralph Morgan. She also shared the stage with legendary performer Al Jolson in the plays "Elsie" and "Big Boy", as well as with Minnie Dupree and Colin Campbell.
Maude's impressive resume also included a stint with the talented Marilyn Miller in her phenomenally successful play "Sally". Furthermore, she had the unique opportunity to showcase her own production company's work, starring in the play "Mrs. Holmes, Detective".
Maude's personal life was also marked by significant events, including the marriage of her daughter Dorothy to Lieut. Robert A. White of the U.S. Navy, following her graduation from the prestigious Fauquier Institute of Warrenton, Virginia. Tragically, Gordon's life was cut short due to complications from pneumonia.
