Maya Dunbar

Maya Dunbar embarked on her professional journey in the spotlight, captivating audiences with her appearances on prominent television shows such as Southland, Banshee, Harry's Law, and The Mentalist. As her career progressed, she made a seamless transition into the realm of writing, simultaneously venturing into production alongside her partner and husband, the talented actor Rockmond Dunbar, under the auspices of their esteemed production company, MyRock Entertainment. In 2018, Maya achieved a significant milestone by selling an original, hour-long legal drama to Universal and NBC. Building upon this success, she went on to develop another pilot at Universal in 2019, a one-hour cop procedural set against the vibrant backdrop of New Orleans. Moreover, that same year, she was appointed to the writing staff of NBC's freshman series Bluff City Law, where she was entrusted with crafting Episode 109, "Ave Marie." Throughout her tenure, Maya has had the privilege of collaborating with numerous production companies and producers, whether it be bringing their innovative concepts to life or infusing her own unique perspective and creativity into the projects she works on.
