Meiling Melançon was born to a Chinese/Japanese father and French mother, and was raised by her step-father, an American, who instilled in her a diverse cultural upbringing. Her childhood was spent in various countries across Asia and Europe, where she developed a unique perspective on the world.
At the tender age of five, Meiling began her musical journey by learning to play the guitar, and soon found herself performing with a children's band called The Blossoms, which toured extensively throughout Japan. As her modeling career flourished, casting directors began to take notice of her talent, and she started receiving calls for theatrical roles. Meiling has since trained extensively under the guidance of renowned acting coaches Larry Moss and Nancy Banks.
In addition to her modeling and acting endeavors, Meiling has also ventured into the world of filmmaking. She co-wrote and acted in the Americana thriller American Romance in 2014, and has since directed several short films, including Cafe On A Staircase and Inner Beauty, which starred Liz Carey and Victoria's Secret model Frankie Rayder.
