Melanie's life trajectory was marked by a rich cultural upbringing in the Southern United States, where she thrived in the realms of church, education, and community theatre. Her academic prowess earned her a spot in the early entrance program at the University of Southern California, a prestigious institution that would ultimately become her academic home.
At the tender age of 17, Melanie made the bold decision to relocate to Los Angeles, where she would go on to graduate Summa Cum Laude from USC with a double Bachelor of Arts degree in Film and Theatre. This impressive academic feat was accompanied by a slew of extracurricular activities, including her active membership in the Delta Kappa Alpha Film Fraternity and internships with prominent industry figures such as Jerry Bruckheimer, Julia Pistor, and Whitaker Entertainment at Walt Disney Studios.
Upon graduating from USC, Melanie's professional career took off, with a notable role on the Biography Channel's Deadly Wives, followed by appearances in numerous film and television projects, including Glee, The Millionaire Matchmaker, Neighbors, and Sharknado 2.
In addition to her acting pursuits, Melanie has also ventured into the world of publishing, self-publishing the Amazon #1 best seller, "The What When Wine Diet: Paleo And Intermittent Fasting For Health And Weight Loss" in 2014. Her forthcoming book, dedicated to intermittent fasting, is currently being represented by Celeste Fine at Sterling Lord Literistic.
