Biography

Melissa Mason, a talented performer, initiated her screen career in 1932 with a cameo appearance in the short film "The Yacht Party," showcasing her skills as a dancer and singer. Although her name was not credited in the film's soundtrack, this early role paved the way for her subsequent Broadway performances.

Some of her notable Broadway credits include "White Horse Inn" in 1936, "Night of Love" in 1941, and "George White's Music Hall Varieties" in 1933, which marked her Broadway debut. Despite her initial success, Melissa Mason never achieved widespread recognition as a performer, and her career gradually slowed down after the 1940s.

Her last on-screen performance was in the 1938 film "Radio City Revels." Melissa Mason was particularly renowned for her exceptional skill in extreme high kicking, an ability that set her apart from other performers. She was famously known for her remarkable talent to swing her leg in a 360-degree vertical motion, effortlessly mimicking the movement of her shoulder.
