Carmine's illustrious stage career spanned numerous productions at esteemed venues, including the Brooklyn Academy of Music, The Henry Street Settlement, and La Mama ETC theaters, where he left an indelible mark on the world of theater.
However, it was his work in Reinaldo Povad's critically acclaimed plays, "La Puta" and "Cuba and His Teddy Bear", that cemented his status as a household name. Notably, "Cuba and His Teddy Bear" was the last successful production of the New York Shakespeare Festival, boasting an impressive cast that included Robert De Niro and Ralph Macchio.
Carmine's television credits were equally impressive, with appearances in popular shows such as "Hill Street Blues", "M*A*S*H", "Miami Vice", and "Crime Story". His filmography was equally impressive, featuring a range of notable roles in movies like "Scarface" (1983),"Invasion U.S.A.", "Turk 182!" (1985),"Band of the Hand" (1986),"Batteries Not Included" (1987),"Leviathan" (1989),and "Longtime Companion" (1990).
Tragically, Carmine's life was cut short due to heart failure at the tender age of thirty.
