Michael's early life unfolded in Waltham, a small city nestled outside Boston, Massachusetts. His formative years were marked by a precocious start to his performing career, which began with dance classes at his aunt's esteemed studio, Creative Movement. This was followed by appearances on the local regional theatre scene, specifically at the Reagle Music Theatre, where he discovered his enduring passion for dance and theatre.
Throughout his childhood, Michael's athletic prowess was evident, as he captained his high school's cross-country and lacrosse teams. His impressive skills even earned him a coveted spot at Vassar College, where he was recruited to play lacrosse. However, his dedication to his first love, dance, soon took precedence, and he decided to leave the team after just one semester.
Following his junior year of college, Michael made his professional debut by attending an open call in New York City, which ultimately led to his booking of the first national tour of Catch Me If You Can. This extensive tour, spanning over ten months and forty cities, concluded with Michael returning to Vassar College the following autumn to complete his senior year and earn a Bachelor of Arts degree in Drama in 2014.
