Michael Narvaez, a multifaceted artist, is a renowned playwright, poet, director, screenwriter, and actor.
With a prolific career spanning multiple mediums, he has penned eight plays, three of which have been produced Off and Off-Off Broadway, and seven screenplays.
One of his notable screenplays is "I Believe in America" (2007),which was executive produced by his wife, Damaris Narvaez, and adapted from his twice-produced play, "A Doctor's Call". This film marked Michael's feature film directing debut.
Barrio Independent Productions produced his short film, "Power of the Caterpillar", in 2021, and Michael is currently in development with his son, Tomas E. Narvaez, and Buffalo 8 Productions on an original full-length feature film inspired by true events about the Independence movement of his beloved Puerto Rico, titled "A Family Most Wanted", loosely based on his life.
As a published poet, his book, "Keep me in the path of Your will for me", is now available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble.
Michael has also appeared in a few feature films and produced, wrote, and directed the successful "40 Year Commemoration of the Death of Don Pedro Albizu Campos", which was performed at El Museo De Las Americas in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico, on April 21, 2005.
His upcoming theatre play, "Independence or Death", will be produced and directed by Michael and is a tribute to the "Father of Puerto Rico".
A devoted father and grandfather, Michael was blessed to have had his late wife and life partner, Damaris, by his side until her passing on January 28, 2016, after a long illness.
