Michael W. Green, also known as Moon Shyne, was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. He developed a passion for the performing arts at a young age, attending Franklin D. Roosevelt High School where he initially discovered his love for theater arts. During his time at FDR, Michael won the role of Eberneizer Scrooge in a Christmas play, marking the beginning of his journey in the entertainment industry.
After graduating from high school, Michael's desire to learn more about music, stage plays, and movies led him to OLC Productions, where he started modeling and acting. He further honed his craft at KD STUDIO, where he developed his skills and expanded his range.
Michael's impressive resume boasts a wide range of credits, including a National Magazine Fitness Layout, SAG commercials, industrial commercials, short films, feature films, and stage plays. He has also made appearances on TV shows such as Texas Walker Ranger, Good Guys, and the motion picture Any Given Sunday.
One of his most notable roles was in a touching SAG film based on a true story, Carter High, which starred Charles S. Dutton, Vivica Fox, David Banner, Reginald Hayes, and Pooch Hall. Michael's company, Mike GG Productions, LLC, is dedicated to producing high-quality films that tackle important topics in the urban community.
In recent years, Michael has signed distribution deals for two of his films, "Bruthas 321," which was released worldwide on June 15, 2022, and "Blind Confession," which will be released worldwide in March 2022. His latest faith-based film, "Lady Thug," is set to be released in January 2024.
Michael's award-winning films, including Ripples, Mr. Faithful Cheater, Mystic Xrossing, Through His Grace (Faith-Based),and Through My Eyes, have been accepted into multiple film festivals. His company, Mike GG Productions, LLC, has just wrapped production on their second horror film, "The Red Room," which is expected to be released early in 2024.
Michael is currently working on two new projects, "Heartbreaker" and "The Sharing Circle," which are set to begin filming in August and October 2023, respectively. His faith-based film, "God's Tired," is scheduled to be released later this year or early in 2024.
