Miranda Kwok is a multifaceted creative force, renowned for her work as Creator, Showrunner, and Executive Producer of the television series adaptation "The Cleaning Lady," which is based on the original Argentine series "La Chica Que Limpia." This project, produced by Warner Bros. and FOX Entertainment, marks a significant milestone in Kwok's career, as she developed it for the Fox Network.
Prior to her work on "The Cleaning Lady," Kwok served as a Writer/Supervising Producer for the CW Network's "The 100," a Warner Bros. series that she worked on for four seasons, from Season 4 to Season 7.
Kwok's impressive resume also includes her participation in several prestigious programs, including the WGA Showrunner Training Program, the WGA Writer Access Project, the CBS Writers Mentoring Program, and Film Independent's Project: Involve. Through this latter program, she earned a full tuition scholarship to attend The Los Angeles Film School's Feature Development Program.
Kwok's writing skills have been recognized through her numerous awards and achievements. Her first screenplay, "Song of Silence," won the Grand Prize in the Slamdance Screenplay Competition, while her first TV spec script landed her a staff writer position on the Starz Network's "Spartacus: Blood and Sand."
In addition to her work in television, Kwok has also served as a writer and story consultant on several theme park attractions and immersive experiences, including Wanda Movie Park's 4D Film "Streets of Fury" and 5D Film "Ultimate Energy," which was produced by Industrial Light and Magic.
Outside of her professional pursuits, Kwok is a passionate motorcyclist, black belt martial artist, and trained crisis counselor. She is an alum of Claude Watson School for the Performing and Visual Arts and holds an Honors Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Psychology from the University of Toronto.
