She began her educational journey at Sacred Hearts Girls High School and St Mary's Higher Secondary School, where she completed her schooling. Her academic pursuits continued at Alphonsa College, where she earned her Bachelor's degree, and later at St. Thomas College, Palai, where she obtained her Master's degree in English Literature.
Miya's acting career started with small roles in television and films, including Oru Small Family (2010),Doctor Love (2011),and Ee Adutha Kaalath (2012). However, it was in 2012 that she gained widespread recognition after being crowned Kerala Miss Fitness. This achievement marked a turning point in her career, and she went on to land her first lead role in the Malayalam film Chettayees (2012).
