Nadia Tass, a renowned Australian filmmaker, has received the Screen Leader Award for Outstanding Leadership to the Screen Industry, solidifying her reputation as one of the most respected and unique directors in the industry.
Tass's impressive filmography includes Australian classics "Malcolm" and "The Big Steal", as well as other notable feature works such as "Rikky and Pete", "Mr Reliable", "Amy", and "Matching Jack". Her debut feature in the US was "Pure Luck", starring Danny Glover and Martin Short, and she has since directed films and high-end television movies for major studios like Universal Studios, Disney, Warner Bros, ABC, CBS, and the BBC.
Tass's work has garnered an impressive haul of over 70 international awards, including Best Director at the Australian Film Institute (AFI) for "Malcolm", Best Director at the Milan International Film Festival, and Best Film at the Cannes Cinephile Prix du Jury for "Matching Jack". Her film "Amy" won the Le Grande Prix du Cinecole and Les Mureaux Grand Prix at the Cannes Film Festival.
The American Cinematheque in Los Angeles honored Tass with a retrospective of her work in 2012, which toured various venues across America. She has also had retrospectives of her body of work in Moscow, Cape Town & Johannesburg, Hawaii, and New Delhi.
Tass has served on the juries of several prestigious film festivals, including the Hawaii Film Festival, St. Tropez, Asian Festival Of First Films, Pune International Film Festival, and Cinefest Oz. She has also served as a juror for the International Chapter of the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts (AACTA) and the DGA documentary award.

Tass's latest film is "Oleg" (2021),a documentary about the life of Russian film star Oleg Vidov, his pursuit of freedom, and his escape from the USSR in 1985.
