Nancy Daly, a talented individual with a rich background, hails from Coronado, California, where she was born to a Midwest father who would often gaze out the window, remarking on the lovely weather with a sigh, "Another damn nice day!" Her father's words would later become a nostalgic reminder of her childhood.
Nancy's academic pursuits took her to Smith College, where she earned her degree, and subsequently, she trained at the prestigious London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts in London.
Throughout her career, Nancy has had the privilege of working in numerous regional theaters, including Arena Stage, Shakespeare Theatre, Delaware Theatre Co, Virginia Stage Co, New Playwrights Theater, Maryland Shakespeare Festival, Washington Stage Guild, and many more. Her impressive resume boasts a wide range of roles, from leading and supporting parts in films to television appearances.
In the film industry, Nancy has had the opportunity to work alongside notable actors such as Jennifer Jason-Leigh, Frances McDormand, Brad Pitt, and Matt Damon, among others. Her notable roles include Maureen, the romantic maid, in "Washington Square," a sympathetic Nurse to Lady Macbeth in Joel Coen's "The Tragedy of Macbeth," and a determined Annoyed Passenger in David Leitch's "Bullet Train."
Nancy has also made significant contributions to the television world, appearing in popular shows such as "NCIS," "LOOT," "The Kids Are Alright," "Living Biblically," "Criminal Minds," "Playing House," "Scrubs," "New Girl", "Joey" and "Homicide- Life on the Streets."
In addition to her acting career, Nancy is a talented writer and performer. She has written and performed two one-woman shows, "What if I Fly?" and "Massage on the Flip Side- Beating Up the Naked People," which have been showcased in the LA area.
Nancy is also a dedicated advocate for Alzheimer's awareness and veterans' rights. She is the Founder and National Team Captain of Actors and Artists Unite to End Alzheimer's, a national team for the Walk to End Alzheimer's, which has raised over $370,000 to date. Her second one-woman show, "What if I Fly," is a heartfelt tribute to her father, CDR Frederick Daly, who passed away from the effects of dementia in 2019.
Throughout her journey, Nancy has remained a proud Alzheimer's and Veterans advocate, using her platform to raise awareness and funds for these important causes.
