Natalie Thomas, a talented dancer turned actor, was born in Crescent City, California, and began her performing career as a dancer. Raised in Santa Cruz, California, she trained at the prestigious Santa Cruz Ballet Theatre.
At the age of fifteen, Natalie left home to attend the North Carolina School of the Arts and later the Pacific Northwest Ballet School, both on scholarship. Her impressive training led to a two-year contract with Nederlands Dans Theater II, an international modern dance company based in The Hague, The Netherlands.
Natalie then moved to Germany to join the Komische Oper Berlin, where she was offered a soloist position with Ballett Frankfurt, re-established as The Forsythe Company, by William Forsythe. With Ballett Frankfurt, Natalie toured the world, performing at renowned venues like the Brooklyn Academy of Music and Sadler's Wells.
As she delved deeper into her dance-theater work, Natalie became fascinated with acting and decided to move to New York City to study at the Maggie Flanigan Studio and work with The Wooster Group.
Since then, Natalie has been working as an actor in New York City, taking on film, television, and theater projects. She played the iconic role of Lady Macbeth for a year in Punchdrunk's hit show, Sleep No More, and has also performed in productions at The Cherry Lane, St. Ann's Warehouse, and The Kitchen.
Natalie frequently collaborates with theater director Jay Scheib and has worked on several projects with him, including Platonov or The Disinherited, Untitled Mars (This Title May Change),and Bellona, Destroyer of Cities.
Her impressive filmography includes her first feature film, Month To Month, a dramedy written and directed by Wes Hopper, for which she won best supporting actress at the Iowa Film Festival. She also played a lead role in Everything Is Gonna Be Pink, directed by academy-nominated Roni Ezra.
Natalie has worked on various projects with director Brock Labrenz, including Heute Nacht, 1901, which she also produced and co-wrote, and Any Other Normal, their latest film. She is set to play Christie McNally, based on the real person, in Untitled Lama Feature, written by Carolyn Briggs (Higher Ground) and Cara Perlman.
