Nick Zano's cinematic journey began when he was just 12 years old, mesmerized by the 1990 film Goodfellas, which sparked a passion for the movies that would eventually alter the course of his life. At that tender age, he had harbored ambitions to become a Navy Seal, but a fateful afternoon at the cinema would forever change the trajectory of his aspirations.
As fate would have it, Nick's family relocated to West Palm Beach, Florida, where he completed his high school education. Throughout his formative years, he was an integral part of both the drama and TV production departments, showcasing his versatility and creative flair.
In his junior year, Nick, along with his closest friends, produced a weekly television program at Wellington High School, which became a wildly humorous and offbeat skit comedy show. The show's immense popularity led to Nick's frequent detention, where he would pass the time by writing a series of short films. These shorts, in which he starred and directed, went on to make it to the JVC Universal Film Competition semifinals an impressive three years in a row.
Following high school, Nick was offered a position with Prelude Pictures, where he worked in Television and Feature Film Development. During this time, he also acted as Associate Producer on the World AIDS Day TV special, Living Positive, hosted by the charismatic Lou Diamond Phillips.
In June 2001, Nick made the bold decision to relocate to Los Angeles, where he began the daily grind of auditioning. His quick wit, charming sense of humor, and vast knowledge of films quickly made him a favorite among casting directors, who would often call him in for readings even when the character description was vastly different from his physical appearance.
Nick's remarkable mental Rolodex, overflowing with movie knowledge, ultimately landed him the hosting gig on MTV's Movie House, which premiered on the cable channel in May 2002. Since his move to LA, Nick has remained close to his family, particularly his sisters and mother, who have always been his source of inspiration and unwavering support. Today, Nick resides in Los Angeles, where he continues to pursue his passion for the movies.
