Olga Segura, a talented Mexican producer, currently resides in the United States, boasting an impressive filmography with over 8 productions to her credit. Her projects have garnered significant recognition, premiering at esteemed film festivals such as the Venice, Berlin, and Sundance Film Festivals.
Notably, her most recent film, Waiting for the Barbarians, was adapted from the acclaimed novel by Nobel Prize-winning author J.M. Coetzee. Directed by Oscar-nominated filmmaker Ciro Guerra, the film made its debut at the Venice Film Festival in 2019.
Currently, Segura is involved in the production and co-direction of a documentary focused on the remarkable life and career of three-time Latin Grammy-winning singer and composer Carla Morrison.
