Omar Paz Trujillo was born and raised in the Española Valley of northern New Mexico, a region that has been home to his family for over 400 years, fostering a strong sense of connection to his family, cultures, and the land that has been passed down through generations.
Notably, Omar has appeared in several notable films, including "Blaze You Out" as Jesse Bonez, "American Girl: Saige Paints the Sky" as Luis, and "Linewatch" as Luis DeSanto. His journey to securing the role of Luis DeSanto is a remarkable one, as he was initially cast in a minor role with only one line, but was later offered the part after impressing the filmmakers with his reading of Luis' lines at the film's table read.
Following his role in "Linewatch", Omar went on to appear in "Terminator Salvation" alongside Christian Bale, "The Reunion" with John Cena, and the film adaptation of Judy Blume's "Tiger Eyes".
Most recently, Omar took on his first lead role in Donald F. Glut's "Dances with Werewolves", playing the part of Dr. Jay Nightraven, a paranormal investigator of Native American descent who is tasked with investigating a series of murders in Los Angeles.
In addition to his acting career, Omar is deeply passionate about preserving the cultural and land-based traditions of northern New Mexico, and he does his part by working on his family's ancestral land, which focuses on the cultivation of native crops, including the famous Chimayo Chile. Omar's other interests include singing, writing, photography, and traveling the world, allowing him to explore new cultures and experiences.
