Born in Northridge, California, Ossie Beck pursued Pre-Med at the University of Santa Barbara, where he enrolled in acting to balance the intensity of his biology and chemistry courses. Initially intending to become a pharmacist, Ossie found early success in business as a Senior Consultant and was ultimately named Employee of the Year for International Dairy Queen.
However, he soon left his soft-serve life to pursue another passion - acting. Upon his return to his native Southern California, Ossie studied acting in Los Angeles with renowned instructors Margie Haber, Lesly Kahn, and Ron Sossi at the Odyssey Theatre. He is also an alumnus of the World Famous Improv Olympic.
Ossie's preparation met the perfect opportunity when he was cast from a worldwide search by Steven Spielberg to co-star in the film Munich (2005),a critically acclaimed movie written by Tony Kushner and starring Eric Bana, Daniel Craig, and Geoffrey Rush. Nominated for five Oscars, Munich showcased Ossie's acting talents on a global stage.
Ossie went on to star in the pilot Screening Party (2008),based on the best-selling book by Dennis Hensley, and landed various television guest spots on Girls Behaving Badly (2002) with Chelsea Handler, All of Us (2003),and others. He also starred in the film Anthem (2007),a project handpicked by Steven Spielberg to give director Jarrett Lee Conaway the opportunity to work with DreamWorks.
In the later part of 2008, Ossie entertained thousands in Spain, Greece, Italy, Turkey, and Malta, an ironic twist of fate, as it was exactly three years after he filmed Munich (2005) and the birthplace of his grandparents.
With Greek, Israeli, and Bulgarian heritage, Ossie has lived an interesting life filled with culture clashes, multiple languages, and... he's a red-head.
