Owen Asztalos began his acting career at a remarkably young age, commencing his professional journey by performing in live theatre and commercials when he was just three years old. His debut feature film appearance was in the hilarious comedy, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, where he portrayed the well-meaning yet naive character of 'Rowley'. Subsequently, Owen has made numerous television appearances, including roles in the popular Netflix series Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, the CBS drama Shades of Blue, the Netflix series Jessica Jones, and the HBO Max show The Flight Attendant.
Following a rigorous audition process, Owen landed his first leading role in a feature film as 'Young J.D. Vance' in the Netflix/Imagine Entertainment production Hillbilly Elegy. Describing his experience working with director Ron Howard, Owen stated that it was the most incredible experience of his life. He expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to work with a legendary filmmaker like Ron Howard every day, calling him a genius and the best in the business.
When not acting, Owen enjoys traveling with his ice hockey team and playing the guitar, showcasing his versatility beyond the realm of acting.
