Peter McDonald, a University of California, Irvine alumnus, has made a significant impact in the entertainment industry. His film credits include starring roles in "The Judge" (2014) alongside Robert Downey Jr. and Robert Duvall, as well as "Instant Trauma" (2002),a mockumentary that won the Best Mockumentary award at the New York International Film Festival.
In television, McDonald has appeared in a variety of shows, including Shonda Rhimes' pilot "Gilded Lilys" (2013) alongside Blythe Danner, "ER" (1994) with William H. Macy, "Becker" (1998) with Ted Danson, "Wings" (1990) with Tim Daly and Steven Weber, "Titus" (2000) with Christopher Titus and Stacy Keach, "Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman" (1993) with Dean Cain and Teri Hatcher, and "Beverly Hills, 90210" (1990).
On stage, McDonald has played a range of characters, including Don Quixote in "Man of La Mancha", Cliff Bradshaw in "Cabaret", Rosencrantz in "Rosencrantz And Guildenstern Are Dead", and Lucentio in "Taming of the Shrew". He was also an ensemble member of LA Theatre Works' National Tour of "War of the Worlds/Lost World".
In addition, McDonald has been a regular performer at The Ice House in Pasadena and The Comedy Store in San Diego, where he honed his improvisational skills under the guidance of Gary Austin, founder of The Groundlings Improv Company. He received a Drama-logue Award Nomination for Best Actor in "Black Beauty", an original musical.
Most recently, McDonald appeared in the critically acclaimed InterAct Theatre Production of "Other People's Money".
