Phyllis Yvonne Stickney, the second child born to Felix and Belle, is a remarkable individual who has made a significant impact in the entertainment industry. As one of the first comedians of color to perform at the prestigious Juste Pour Rire Comedy Festival in Montreal, Canada, she shared the stage with the late John Candy and was introduced by Ed Begley Jr. Her stand-up comedy performance at the iconic Apollo Theater was a major selling point for the popular Showtime at the Apollo, which was later sold to the network.
In addition to her comedy career, Phyllis Yvonne Stickney is also a motivational speaker, published author, and poet. She made history by becoming the first female to perform with The Last Poets on the soundtrack of Panther (1995). Her outstanding achievements earned her a spot in Essence Magazine's 25th Anniversary Issue as one of the 200 African American women who have changed the world.
Phyllis Yvonne Stickney is also a talented entrepreneur, having designed a line of clothing called Butterbaby, which is scheduled to launch in the Spring/Summer of 2004.
