Priya Prakash Varrier is a renowned Indian actress, primarily active in the Malayalam film industry. Her modeling career commenced in 2017, and she has since walked the ramp for several prestigious fashion designers.
Born and raised in Thrissur, Varrier studied at Sandeepani Vidya Nikethan before pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce degree at Vimala College, also located in Thrissur.
Varrier's acting career began with a song in the 2018 film Thanaha, followed by her debut film Oru Adaar Love in 2019. This romantic comedy, produced by Nithiin's Ousepachan Movie House, marked her entry into the Malayalam film industry.
The film, which also stars Noorin Shereef and Roshan Abdul Rahoof, was written by Sarjano Khalid and directed by Omar Lulu. Varrier's performance in the film earned her widespread recognition and fame.
In 2022, Varrier made her Telugu debut with the film 4 Years, where she played the role of Yatra or Isabel. The movie, written and directed by Sukumar, also stars Rakul Preet Singh and Nithiin.
Varrier's subsequent Telugu film was Ishq: Not a Love Story, a remake of the Malayalam film Ishq (2019). She played the role of Anasuya alongside Teja Sajja.
In addition to her work in Telugu films, Varrier has also acted in the Kannada movie Vishnu Priya, directed by V.K Prakash and starring Takur R Baragi and Shreyas Manju.
Varrier's Malayalam filmography includes the 2022 film 4 Years, alongside Noorin Shereef, written and directed by Ranjith Sankar.
The actress made her Bollywood debut with the film 3 Monkeys, produced by AV Picture Production LLP and directed by Abbas Alibhai Burmawalla Mastan Alibhai Burmawalla.
Varrier is also a part of several other upcoming films, including Yaariyan 2 (2023),Love Hackers, Sridevi, Kolla, and Live.
Apart from her acting career, Varrier is also a talented singer. She has sung three songs: Nee Mazhavillu Polen in 2019, Ladi Ladi in 2021, and Pennu in 2022.
Varrier was named Viral Personality of the year in the Outlook Awards in 2019, prior to the release of her debut film.
