Biography

Quique Camoiras, a renowned Spanish actor and theatrical entrepreneur, was born on December 7, 1927, in Madrid, and passed away on March 1, 2012, in Boadilla del Monte. He was particularly well-known for his work in the genres of humor, comedy, and musical revue.

Even during the Spanish Civil War, Camoiras began his career as a dancer in Valencia. For 14 years, he alternated his work as an actor with his administrative duties at the Instituto Nacional de Previsión, the precursor to INSALUD.

Following the war, he appeared at the Madrid-based Teatro Fontalba, which is now defunct. As a child, he acted under the name Quiqui P. Camoiras in the 1942 film Rojo y negro.

Throughout his long and distinguished career, Camoiras has performed in numerous extended seasons at Madrid's iconic theaters, including La Latina and El Cómico. In television, he presented the popular program Humor cinco estrellas on Telecinco, alongside Juanito Navarro.
