Qurrat Ann Kadwani, a talented individual, was born in the vibrant city of Mumbai, India, and spent her formative years in The Bronx, New York. Throughout her educational journey, she attended public schools, where she developed a strong foundation in academics and extracurricular activities.
As a student at The Bronx High School of Science, Kadwani's exceptional leadership skills and passion for public speaking led her to become the Captain of the Speech Team. Her impressive academic record and extracurricular achievements earned her a spot at SUNY Geneseo, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre.
After completing her undergraduate studies, Kadwani settled in Manhattan, New York, where she continued to pursue her passion for the performing arts. Her most notable achievement is her autobiographical solo play, "They Call Me Q," which made history by being the first solo play by a South Asian female to be showcased on an Off-Broadway stage.
Kadwani's remarkable performance in "They Call Me Q" earned her numerous awards, including Best Actress, Best Play, Trailblazer, Cultural, City, and State awards. The play's success led to Kadwani touring colleges across the United States, where she impressively played 13 characters within a one-hour timeframe.
