At the tender age of nine, Rafal embarked on a theatrical journey, making his stage debut in a production that would set the tone for his future endeavors. As the years went by, he appeared in numerous films and television series, dedicating a substantial portion of his youth to the craft of acting. This experience not only honed his skills but also instilled in him a deep appreciation for the art form.
As a high school student, Rafal took the initiative to establish a theatre group, which he went on to produce and direct. One of his productions, staged at the esteemed Sydney Opera House as part of the Young Playwrights Festival, showcased his talent and dedication to the art.
However, Rafal's trajectory took a significant turn when he enrolled in the Polish National Film School in Lodz, where he pursued a degree in Film and Television Directing. He eventually abandoned his acting ambitions to focus on his true passion – filmmaking.
Rafal's directorial debut, "Popieluszko. Freedom is in us," was a resounding success, earning critical acclaim and commercial success in Poland and beyond. The film was sold to numerous territories and won several awards, solidifying Rafal's reputation as a talented director and screenwriter.
In addition to his work in film, Rafal was also the co-producer and artistic director of the weekly magazine "Raj" broadcast on Poland's largest television channel. During his 10-year tenure, he oversaw the production of approximately 400 documentaries, some of which he directed or edited himself.
Rafal has also been dedicated to various charitable initiatives, including his involvement in the introduction of a bill aimed at incentivizing audiovisual production in Poland. This experience has since inspired him to focus exclusively on artistic projects, and he is currently working on his third feature film, "How much do You love me?"
