Rafal Zawierucha, a renowned international actor, was born in 1986 in the vibrant city of Cracow, Poland. His journey in the world of acting began when he enrolled in the National Academy of Dramatic Art in Warsaw, where he excelled as one of the top students. In 2008, he received an exclusive invitation to the prestigious Watermill Center's Summer Program in New York, under the guidance of the illustrious theater director Robert Wilson.
During his time at the Academy, Zawierucha landed a significant role in the critically acclaimed film "Heritage" (2011),directed by the esteemed Polish director Andrzej Baranski. This breakthrough performance marked the beginning of his successful career in cinema.
After graduating from the Academy, Zawierucha joined the esteemed Warsaw Modern Theatre - "Teatr Wspolczesny", where he took part in various productions, including "Hamlet", "When the Barbarians Came", "Platonov", "Bucharest Calling", and "Fantazy".
In the world of cinema, Zawierucha is most recognized for his roles in "Heritage" (2011),"Gods" (2014),and "Afterimage" (2016),all directed by the legendary Andrzej Wajda. Additionally, he has hosted documentary TV series for Discovery Canal plus, including "Film Poland" and "Film Europe", where he travels across Poland and Europe, exploring the filming locations of famous movies.
Throughout his travels, Zawierucha has had the opportunity to meet and collaborate with prominent producers, directors, and industry professionals who have worked on some of the most iconic films in the history of world cinema.
In 2018, Zawierucha made his Hollywood debut in Quentin Tarantino's "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood" as the renowned director Roman Polanski. He also starred in the US production "The Soviet Sleep Experiment", filmed in Minneapolis.
