Raghu Ram, one half of a pair of identical twins, is a renowned television personality and producer, best recognized for his groundbreaking work on "Roadies", the longest-running reality show in India, and "Splitsvilla", India's first and longest-running romance reality show.
Born in New Delhi, Raghu's introduction to the world of broadcasting began as a spot boy for TV commercials focusing on child labor. At the tender age of 20, Raghu, along with his twin, dropped out of college to pursue a career in the then-emerging Indian Television industry, commencing as trainees.
Raghu's one-year stint as a content producer at the BBC World Service Trust in New Delhi proved to be a pivotal and formative experience, shaping his approach to content creation.
In 2003, Raghu relocated to Mumbai to assume the role of Senior Producer at MTV India, a platform primarily known for music and short-format content. However, this changed with the advent of "Roadies", an adventure-reality show that became MTV's signature program. Raghu's involvement in the audition process, as he was more comfortable in Hindi than his colleagues, caught the attention of MTV's young audience, who appreciated his ability to push contestants to their limits and his colorful language.
Throughout his career, Raghu has seamlessly transitioned between in-front-of and behind-the-camera roles, acting in films and authoring his autobiographical book, "Rearview: My Roadies Journey", published in 2013.
In 2014, Raghu, along with his monozygotic twin Rajiv, founded "Monozygotic Solutions Pvt. Ltd", a production company responsible for creating original fiction and non-fiction programming for television and digital platforms.
Raghu is married to Canadian singer Natalie DiLuccio and resides in Mumbai.
