Biography

Ralph Winters, a two-time Academy Award-winning editor, and his wife Teddy, are the proud grandparents of five grandchildren. As an incredibly intelligent, kind, unique, and loving individual, Ralph began utilizing a computer in his 90s, and lived to witness the publication of his memoirs, "Some Cutting Remarks: Seventy Years a Film Editor", which he personally wrote on his own personal computer.

Ralph was highly esteemed and sought-after by up-and-coming editors for his valuable advice and extensive experience, and always gave generously of himself to these young professionals. During an interview, Ralph was once asked whether he would eventually take pleasure in directing movies. His straightforward and enthusiastic response was: "You betcha".
