Rankin Dean embarked on his acting journey at the tender age of 11 by creating his own YouTube videos in his humble hometown in Texas, marking the beginning of a passion that would soon extend beyond the digital realm. As he navigated his high school and college years, Dean's acting talents continued to flourish on stage, with numerous theatre performances solidifying his skills and confidence. This early start ultimately paved the way for his academic pursuits, as he went on to earn a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts with a focus on Acting from Abilene Christian University. Furthermore, Dean's thirst for knowledge and expertise led him to supplement his education with additional training at the esteemed Los Angeles Film Studies Center, where he honed his craft in Film Production and Professional Screen Acting.
