Rhys Thomas is a highly acclaimed and multi-talented individual, boasting an impressive array of accomplishments in the entertainment industry. With a wide range of credits to his name, he is best recognized for his starring roles in numerous hit British comedy shows, including 'The Fast Show', 'Star Stories', 'Sirens', 'Down The Line', 'Nathan Barley', and the critically acclaimed BBC spoof music documentary series 'Brian Pern'.
Thomas created the massive hit family show 'DODGER' for BBC One and Universal in 2022, which follows the adventures of the Artful Dodger and Fagin in a prequel to Oliver Twist. Not only did he write the series alongside Lucy Montgomery, but he also executive produced and directed all 14 episodes.
As a documentary director and producer, Thomas has won numerous prestigious awards, including an Emmy and the Rose d'Or for Best Arts Documentary for his feature-length film 'Freddie Mercury: The Great Pretender'.
