Richard Young is a multi-talented individual with a rich background in the entertainment industry. Born into a South Asian family with Indo-Caribbean roots, he has made a name for himself as a Canadian Screen Award-winning screenwriter and actor.
As a screenwriter, Richard has an impressive list of credits to his name. He has worked on various projects, including "Overlord and the Underwoods" for CBC and Nickelodeon, "Dino Ranch" for CBC and Disney+, "16 Hudson" for TVO, "Sudden Master" for OMNI, and "Maternal" for CBC Reflections. His writing has earned him numerous accolades, including a spot on the Coverfly RED List, a ScreenCraft Sci-Fi and Fantasy Screenwriting Competition Finalist/Honorable Mention, a JFL ComedyPRO Pitch Finalist, and an Austin Film Festival Screenplay Semifinalist.
As an actor, Richard has appeared on both the big and small screens. His screen acting credits include "Transplant" on NBC, "Law & Order Toronto: Criminal Intent" on CityTV, "Jett" on Cinemax, and "Kim's Convenience" on CBC.
