Rick Walls is a native of Philadelphia with a diverse and extensive career in the film and television industry. With over 35 feature film credits and 80 hours of television credits, he has worked in various roles including Assistant Director, producer, segment director, and 2nd Unit Director with some of the most renowned filmmakers in the industry.
Throughout his career, Rick has directed music videos, live television segments, reality television, commercials, and prestigious short films. His projects have ranged from budget-friendly endeavors to high-budget productions, with locations spanning across 39 states in the US, as well as France, Italy, Mexico, Jamaica, and Canada.
One of his earliest projects, L-EVATED: The Blunt Truth, won national TV programming awards, including Best Director and Best Informational Narrative, and was honored by the BBC and Canadian Television. He also received a nomination for an EMMY award for his work on A Philadelphia Environment Story, an informational piece about "green" buildings and initiatives in commercial real estate.
Rick has worked on several reality TV shows, including Trading Spouses: Meet Your New Mommy and Joe Millionaire 2, which was filmed in Italy. He also directed the entire second season of the cable series Seeing Stars. His work on the supernatural short film drama Angle earned him an official selection at the CANNES FILM FESTIVAL in 2009.
In addition to his film and television work, Rick has directed several short films, including Are You Serious?, Infidelity, and Every Dawg Has Day. He has also shadowed directors on episodes of Hawaii 5-0 and Criminal Minds and is scheduled to direct episodes of both shows.
Rick is currently in pre-production for his upcoming project, The Distraction, an erotic thriller that will screen at the Bahamas Film Festival in 2016.
