Rivkah Reyes, a multifaceted individual, is a queer Filipinx-Jewish actor, musician, comedian, producer, and writer hailing from Chicago. Their artistic journey began at the tender age of 4, when they first picked up a guitar. This early exposure to music paved the way for their subsequent performances, including a notable appearance on the NPR show From the Top during their 4th grade year.
This remarkable feat caught the attention of industry professionals, ultimately leading to Rivkah's casting in the 2003 film School of Rock. Since making her movie debut, Riv has become a prominent figure in the comedy, film, and theater scenes of Chicago, Los Angeles, and New York.
Throughout her career, Rivkah has had the opportunity to work with esteemed institutions such as The Second City in Chicago, where she has contributed to several sketch revues and honed her skills in improv, sketch, and stand-up comedy at iO, The Hollywood Improv, The Laugh Factory, Club Cumming, and Las Culturistas' I Don't Think So Honey! Live.
Rivkah is an alumna of the School at Steppenwolf, The Second City, and iO's training centers, as well as the University of Illinois at Chicago. In 2020, she published an article titled "Confessions of an Obsolete Child Actor," which shares her personal experiences and insights gained from transitioning from childhood stardom to adulthood.
Currently, Rivkah resides in Los Angeles and serves as the host of the Where Are We Now? podcast, showcasing her versatility and continued growth as a performer and storyteller.
