Robert C. Banks, Jr. was born in 1966 and is a renowned American cinematographer and film artist. He began his academic journey at the prestigious Cleveland School of the Arts, where he honed his skills in the realm of film. Not content to simply confine his expertise to the classroom, Banks also went on to teach film at various esteemed institutions, including Cuyahoga Community College, the Cleveland Institute of Art, and Cleveland State University.
Banks' most notable work is the 1992 short film, "X: The Baby Cinema", a 16mm masterpiece that delves into the commercial exploitation of the iconic image of Malcolm X. This thought-provoking film was later featured on the compilation video, "The Best Of The New York Underground - Year One".
