Robert G. Vignola, a renowned director and actor of great repute, took his first breath on the fifth day of August, eighteen hundred and eighty-two, in the picturesque town of Trivigno, nestled within the picturesque region of Potenza, in the southern Italian province of Basilicata.
As his life unfolded, he would go on to leave an indelible mark on the world of cinema, with his most notable works including the 1933 cinematic masterpiece, "Broken Dreams", the 1918 psychological thriller, "The Knife", and the 1919 crime drama, "More Deadly Than the Male".
Tragically, his time on this earth came to a close on the twenty-fifth day of October, nineteen hundred and fifty-three, in the vibrant city of Hollywood, California, United States of America.
