Robert Steven Rhine, also known as Corpsy, is a multifaceted individual with a rich and varied career. Born to a family of comedians, Larry Rhine and Hazel Shermet, Robert's early life was marked by a massive head injury and skull fracture at the tender age of ten, which clinically killed him. Miraculously, he was revived and went on to become a dark fiction writer, fascinated by the subject of death.
In 2002, Rhine founded and became the publisher and editor-in-chief of Girls and Corpses, a worldwide newsstand magazine that has been featured on various media outlets such as Entertainment Tonight, TMZ, Inside Edition, Entertainment Weekly, Maxim, E-News, and Bizarre. The magazine has also been bequeathed the body of famed music producer Kim Fowley, which was placed on the cover as per his last wishes.
Rhine is the president and CEO of Girls and Corpses Films, which has produced and released several films, including Cynthia, starring Scout Taylor-Compton, Sid Haig, and Bill Moseley, Exorcism At 60,000 Feet, starring Lance Henriksen, Bai Ling, and Adrienne Barbeau, and Escape From Area 51, starring Donna D'Errico. He has also executive produced several other films under the Girls and Corpses Presents label.
As an actor, Rhine has appeared in numerous films and has been killed in 24 of them. He has also portrayed Rod Serling for The Twilight Tower of Terror Ride at Disney Orlando Florida.
Rhine is a prolific writer and has published several books, including "My Brain Escapes Me" and "Satan's 3-Ring Circus of Hell". He has also sold fiction to over one hundred magazines and published anthologies, including the Bram Stoker award-winning "Dark Delicacies" alongside Ray Bradbury and Clive Barker.
Rhine has been a contributing writer for various publications, including Heavy Metal, Cracked, National Lampoon, and others. He has also created several comic books, including "Selected Readings From Satan's Powder Room", "Chicken Soup For Satan", and "Satan Gone Wild", which led to his 280-page, color graphic novel "Satan's 3-Ring Circus of Hell".
Rhine's work has been recognized by the top horror artists in the world, who have contributed to his graphic novel. He has also written the published book "Last Laughs: Gallows Humor", illustrated by Brian Orlowski.
In addition to his writing and film work, Rhine has worked as a unit publicist for various studios, including Universal Studios, TriStar/Columbia, Dreamworks, and Imagine Entertainment. He has also worked as an entertainment publicist, book publicist, film advertising copywriter, segment producer for PM Magazine, and for CNN.
