Robin Lord Taylor is a talented actor, born in Shueyville, Iowa, and a graduate of Northwestern University's School of Speech. He has made appearances in numerous acclaimed television series, including The Walking Dead, Law & Order, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, The Good Wife, and Person of Interest, as well as having a recurring role on The Late Show with David Letterman.
Taylor is perhaps best known for his roles in the cult comedy Accepted, where he starred alongside Jonah Hill and Justin Long, and in the popular television series Gotham, where he played Oswald "The Penguin" Cobblepot. He has also appeared in several films, including the independent horror film Would You Rather and the critically acclaimed film Another Earth, which won the Alfred P. Sloan Prize at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival.
In addition to his film and television work, Taylor has also made appearances on the stage, including productions such as Neighborhood 3: Requisition of Doom, The Shooting Stage, Henry IV, and No. 11 Blue and White. He has also co-created and co-starred in the live talk show "Creation Nation" with Billy Eichner, which was performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, the HBO Aspen Comedy Festival, and in various venues throughout New York City and Los Angeles.
Taylor has been featured in several films that have premiered at prominent film festivals, including the Venice Film Festival, the Cannes Film Festival, and the Sundance Film Festival. He has also appeared in numerous productions in Stephen Sondheim's Young Playwrights Festival at the Cherry Lane Theater.
Currently, Taylor resides in New York City, where he continues to work in the entertainment industry.
