Born on September 27th, 1946, in Birmingham, but his formative years were spent in Cardiff, Wales, where he honed his acting skills on both stage and screen from a tender age. His early years were marked by a flurry of amateur productions at Cardiff High School and the County College, where he showcased his versatility in plays such as "Romeo and Juliet" and other dramatic societies.
Following his educational pursuits, Robin enrolled in the prestigious Central School of Speech and Drama in London, where he earned a degree in acting. It was during his university days that he caught the attention of Granada's production team, who handpicked him for a television role after a screening at the institution. His innate ability to inject humor into even the most mundane situations quickly made him a household name in the popular "Doctors" series, which aired on Granada during the 1970s.
After completing several successful series of "Doctors," Robin expanded his repertoire to include stage acting, a passion he held dear. He also ventured into film, with most of his movie roles being produced and aired for television. Tragically, he was poised to take on two major roles for the BBC before his untimely passing, which prevented him from flying abroad to film for the parts.
