Rouzbeh Rashidi, a pioneering Iranian independent filmmaker, has been crafting films since 2000, when he founded the Experimental Film Society in Tehran, marking the beginning of his unconventional journey in the world of cinema. Defying mainstream norms, Rashidi has consistently pushed the boundaries of storytelling, opting instead to weave a poetic tapestry of image and sound that transcends the constraints of conventional narrative. Scriptwriting is a rare occurrence in his creative process, as he views filmmaking as an exploration, rather than a mere illustration of predetermined ideas.
Throughout his illustrious career, Rashidi has helmed and produced an impressive forty short films, before shifting his focus to feature-length projects in 2008. Since then, he has been diligently working on several full-length feature films, solidifying his reputation as a master of his craft.
