Sam Otto, a talented individual, came into this world on June 13, 1992, in Basingstoke, Hampshire, England. Prior to embarking on his professional journey, Otto honed his craft at the prestigious Drama Centre London.
Before gaining widespread recognition, Otto made his mark in the television world by taking on the role of "Young Sathnam's Father" in The Boy with the Topknot. He then further solidified his acting chops by starring in the 2018 film The Flood, where he played the character of Josef.
However, it was his portrayal of "Jalal" in Peter Kosminsky's Channel 4 series The State that truly cemented his status as a rising star. This thought-provoking series delved into the lives of young Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant recruits, exploring their journeys from initial enthusiasm to disillusionment and despair.
Following his critically acclaimed performance in The State, Otto went on to take on the role of John "Oz" Osweiller, a young brakeman and police-type figure on the train, in TNT's 2020 thriller series Snowpiercer.
