Sarah Clarke, a talented actress, was born and raised in Missouri, the middle child of Carolyn and Ernest Clarke, an engineer. She has an older and younger brother, and her early life was shaped by her education at John Burroughs School in St. Louis, Missouri. After completing her high school education, Sarah pursued her passion for Fine Arts and Italian at Indiana University.
During her senior year at university, Sarah had the opportunity to study in Bologna, Italy, where she discovered her interest in acting. Upon her return to the United States, Sarah found work as an architectural photographer. Her interest in acting led her to receive free acting lessons at an arts center in exchange for taking photos for them.
Sarah's determination to pursue her acting career led her to move to New York, where she continued her studies with various acting companies, including Circle in the Square Theatre School. Her screen debut came in a Volkswagen television commercial called "Synchronicity", which won several awards.
Sarah's hard work and dedication paid off when she landed her big break, playing the role of Nina Myers in the hit television series 24 (2001). It was during her time on the show that she met her future husband, Xander Berkeley. Since then, Sarah has appeared in numerous films and television shows, including the Twilight (2008) series, where she played the role of Renée, Bella Swan's mother.
