Sarah Elizabeth Mintz is a multifaceted writer/director, actively working in both New York and Los Angeles.
She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the esteemed New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, where she meticulously crafted her thesis film, TRANSIT, starring Dakota Johnson.
Following her academic endeavors, Sarah had the privilege of collaborating with acclaimed filmmakers, including Alejandro Inarritu on THE REVENANT, Joachim Trier on LOUDER THAN BOMBS, and Cary Fukunaga on TRUE DETECTIVE.
Sarah's exceptional talent and dedication were recognized when she was selected as a Sundance Fellow in the 2017 Writer's Intensive for her feature GOOD GIRL JANE.
In addition to her impressive resume, Sarah also directed a proof-of-concept short film of the same name, which garnered significant interest and financing for the feature.
GOOD GIRL JANE recently made its premiere in the U.S. Narrative Competition at the prestigious Tribeca Film Festival 2022, where it won the Founders Award for Best U.S. Narrative Feature, as well as the Best Performance in a Narrative Feature award for Rain Spencer.
This highly acclaimed film is penned by Mintz herself, and is inspired by events from her own life.
Throughout her body of work, Sarah is drawn to stories that delve into the intricacies of human nature, often exploring the beauty that lies in the gray areas that are frequently overlooked.
