Sean Bolger, an American actor and producer, was born in Teaneck, New Jersey, and spent his childhood in the suburbs of Chicago, where he was raised by his loving parents, Albert and Mary Nell Bolger. As the oldest of three children, Sean graduated from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, with a degree in Finance.
After completing his education, Sean pursued a career in finance at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, where he worked in commodities and derivatives. During this time, he was exposed to Chicago's vibrant theatre scene, which sparked his passion for acting.
Initially, Sean was a season ticket holder at the renowned Steppenwolf Theatre, where he was soon invited to audition for the Redmoon Theatre Winter Pageant. This production marked the beginning of his acting journey, which would lead to over 30 stage productions in Chicago at various theatres, including Steppenwolf, The Goodman, and A Red Orchid.
Sean's extensive training included stints at The School at Steppenwolf, Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, and The Second City. He also gained television credits on The Chicago Code and Chicago Fire, which ultimately led him to Los Angeles to continue his acting career.
In Los Angeles, Sean has appeared in over 30 television and film projects, including the critically acclaimed Twin Peaks: The Return, TNT's I Am The Night, and Amazon's period biopic Seberg. He has had the opportunity to work with renowned directors such as David Lynch, Patty Jenkins, and Eduardo Sanchez, as well as actors Chris Pine, Alfred Molina, and Kristen Stewart, among many others.
