Sean McKittrick, a talented film producer, made a name for himself in the industry shortly after graduating from UCLA. His breakthrough project was the cult classic "Donnie Darko," a quirky sci-fi thriller that starred Jake Gyllenhaal and earned a nomination for The Grand Jury Award at the 2001 Sundance Film Festival.
McKittrick's subsequent projects showcased his versatility as a producer. He worked on "Southland Tales," a film that was nominated for a Golden Palm Award at the 2006 Cannes Film Festival. He also produced Bobcat Goldthwait's "World's Greatest Dad," starring Robin Williams, which premiered at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival.
In 2009, McKittrick produced "The Box," a sci-fi thriller starring James Marsden, Frank Langella, and Cameron Diaz. He continued to collaborate with Goldthwait on "God Bless America," which premiered as part of the Midnight Madness Series at the 2011 Toronto Film Festival.
McKittrick's production company was also behind Robert Ben Garant and Thomas Lennon's "Hell Baby," which premiered at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival. He produced Jason Bateman's directorial debut, "Bad Words," which was distributed by Focus Features.
In addition to his work on narrative films, McKittrick produced John Ridley's biopic "All Is By My Side," which starred Andre Benjamin, Imogen Poots, and Hayley Atwell. The film premiered at the 2013 Toronto International Film Festival.
McKittrick's most recent projects include "North of Hell," written and directed by Anthony Burns, starring Katherine Heigl and Patrick Wilson, which is set to be released in Spring 2015. He is also producing the film adaptation of Jane Austen and Seth Graham-Smith's "Pride & Prejudice & Zombies," which stars Lily James, Sam Riley, Jack Huston, Matt Smith, Douglas Booth, and Bella Heathcote, and is financed through Sierra-Affinity.
