As a young man, Celea pursued his dream by enrolling in the prestigious Institute of Theatrical Arts and Cinematography, where he earned his degree in 1974. This marked the beginning of his illustrious career, as he soon made his cinematic debut in the 1973 film "Bufetul 'La Senat'".
